Much attention was drawn to Salman Khan’s claim that he didn’t know Ashneer Grover during Bigg Boss 18. Later, Ashneer claimed that the star of Jai Ho did this pompous act in order to create drama.
Entrepreneur and former BharatPe founder Ashneer Grover made an appearance as a guest on Bigg Boss 18 last year. But Salman Khan as the host criticised his earlier comments about him, both of them got into a furious argument. Ashneer has now retaliated against the superstar for embarrassing him on the show, claiming that he did so in order to “create drama.”

Ashneer Grover, who recently debuted his own reality show Rise and Fall, criticised Salman Khan for claiming he “didn’t know his name” during Bigg Boss 18 while speaking to a packed assembly of students at NIT Kurukshetra.
“Apna competition khada kiya usne faltu ka panga leke. Jab mereko bulaya tha shanti se gaya main. Arey main toh aapse mila hi nahi kabhi, salman ne bola. I have no idea what your name is. “Abey naam nai pata tha toh bulaaya kyun tha?” (He picked a quarrel, which needlessly fostered competition. When I was called, I went quietly. You claim that you haven’t even met me, just to add drama. I have no idea what your name is. Why did you call me if you didn’t know my name?
“Aur ek baat main bata deta hun,” he continued. For example, if a company has a brand ambassador, the ambassador will not be allowed to represent the company without meeting me. Kamino ki tarah hi business chalata tha main. (I had to go through everything. You couldn’t have been my company’s brand ambassador without first meeting me, if you were the brand ambassador. I operated my business like a ruthless individual. I had to go through it all.) Salman Khan was a brand ambassador for BharatPe in 2019, when he was still in charge of the company, Grover added.
In 2023, Grover previously said on the Vagehra Vagehra podcast that, among other things, Salman’s staff had refused him a chance to take a picture with the actor. There were rumours of issues between the two as a result of this occurrence.
The Reaction of Salman on Bigg Boss 18
In response to Grover’s previous remarks, Salman Khan said on Bigg Boss 18: “I don’t feel bad about all these. Just that it’s wrong when you give people a false idea about someone. Later, it will come back to haunt you.
“Mujhe toh aapka naam bhi nahi pata tha,” Salman added. Lekin jab aapki woh jo video dekhi thi toh aapke shakal mere saamne aaya tha.” (I had no idea what your name was. I recognised your face from that video you shared.) Additionally, he cautioned Grover about the terms he used, saying, “I’m just saying you should be careful with how you present yourself, even when we are not there.”
In the middle of controversy, a new reality show
Amazon MX Player debuted Rise and Fall, a reality show with participants split into Rulers and Workers, on January 30. Ashneer Grover is the host of the program. Ashneer introduced viewers to a split house in a show sizzle clip. The upper half is ruled by the strong and the great, while the lowest section is inhabited by the weaker ones. A game full of ups and downs and plenty of double standards (doglapan) is what he promises.
In spite of the continuing dispute, Ashneer Grover will host Rise and Fall, a brand-new reality series that Amazon MX Player is launching on January 30. With the show, Grover enters the entertainment industry and begins a new phase of his business career.
