An extremely shocking news, the king of comedy Raju Srivastava passed away today, September 21, 2022. Raju Srivastava, who collapsed on August 10 after having a heart attack while exercising at the gym, is no longer with us. The comedian passed away after a protracted illness. The family of Raju Srivastava—his wife, son, and daughter—is presently at AIIMS. On September 22, in Delhi, he will be cremated.

During a heart attack, Raju Srivastava sustained brain damage.
After the cardiac arrest, Raju Srivastava sustained significant brain damage and has been comatose and under observation at AIIMS, Delhi, since August 10. He was receiving care from the AIIMS team of cardiologists and emergency room physicians, under the direction of Dr. Nitish Nyay.
Raju was exercising on the treadmill when he suddenly collapsed with chest trouble. He was taken to AIIMS Delhi by his trainer, where he received three rounds of CPR to revive his heart.
A Popular Comedian
Raju has worked in the entertainment business and charmed audiences since the 1980s. After taking part in the debut season of the reality stand-up comedy series “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge” in 2005, he quickly rose to stardom. The actor best known for Hindi movies including Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya, Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar, and the remake of Bombay to Goa.
Since he was a little boy, Raju has had a great affinity for comedy and has taken part in numerous theatre productions. Satya Prakash Srivastava, who later rose to fame as Raju Srivastava, was raised in a middle-class household in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He was born on December 25, 1963.
Imitating superstar Amitabh Bachchan
A talented mimic, the comedy star had his share of difficulties in the beginning before becoming well-known for his imitation of megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s distinctive baritone voice. That led to invitations for him to produce shows both inside and outside of India. He has moreover made cameo appearances in Hindi movies.
Additionally, he presided over the Uttar Pradesh Film Development Council. The actor also briefly served as a politician. He joined the BJP after first joining politics through the Samajwadi Party.

The Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, referred to Srivastava as a “entertainer par excellence” whose demeanour and perceptive humour really reflected life in India.
The comedian’s family and followers were sent condolences by the filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar. “I was shocked to hear of Raju’s tragic death. He kept us all amused for so many years with his amazing comic timing; he was a gem that we have lost. My deepest sympathies to his family and supporters “The movie director tweeted.
A household name
Srivastava was a household name in India and was regarded as the king of humour. The best part about his comedy was he won’t use abusive/vulgar words or insulting anybody’s belief, just with sense of humour, timing & mimicry, Raju Srivastava will win everyone’s heart. In the midst of all, the comedian’s most recent Instagram mimicking video has gone viral. Raju was last seen in the video acting out how Shashi Kapoor would promote the Covid-19 awareness message. The comic expertly imitated Shashi Kapoor’s tone and body language.
On September 22, Raju Srivastava is scheduled to be cremated
According to the family’s wish, the cremation will take place in Delhi. Raju will be cremated on September 22 early in the morning. Earlier, they had spoken of moving Raju to Mumbai or Kanpur. Raju’s brother-in-law has confirmed that Raju’s burial will be held in Delhi.
